On March 7, 2025, the Government issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP regarding visa exemption for citizens of certain countries.

Accordingly, Vietnam grants visa exemption for citizens of the following 12 countries:
1. The Federal Republic of Germany;
2. The French Republic;
3. The Italian Republic;
4. The Kingdom of Spain;
5. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland;
6. The Russian Federation;
7. Japan;
8. The Republic of Korea;
9. The Kingdom of Denmark;
10. The Kingdom of Sweden;
11. The Kingdom of Norway;
12. The Republic of Finland.
The visa exemption applies with a temporary stay period of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, provided that the entry conditions prescribed by Vietnamese law are fully met.
Thus, the visa exemption policy for citizens of Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland shall be implemented from March 15, 2025, to March 14, 2028, and may be subject to extension in accordance with Vietnamese law.
At the same time, Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated March 15, 2022, and Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023, issued by the Government, shall cease to be effective from March 15, 2025.
Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP takes effect from March 15, 2025.
