At the meeting, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the National Wage Council, said that the labor representative proposed increasing the regional minimum wage from 6.5%. - 7.3%. - Districts, Thu Duc city and districts of Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh, Nha Be (Region 1) have a regional monthly minimum wage of 4,960,000 VND/month (increased from 4,680,000 VND/month );
- Can Gio District (Region 2) has a regional monthly minimum wage of 4,410,000 VND/month (increased from 4,160,000 VND/month).
However, currently there is no decree specifically guiding the above-mentioned regional minimum wages and the areas in which they apply.
