According to Appendix IV issued with Resolution 01/NQ-CP 2024, in May 2024, a Decree stipulating the minimum salary for employees working under labor contracts must be completed.
It is expected that the monthly regional minimum wage will increase as follows:
- Region I increased from 4.68 million VND/month to about 4.96 million VND/month (an increase of 280,000 VND);
- Region II increased from 4.16 million VND/month to about 4.41 million VND/month (an increase of 250,000 VND);
- Region III increased from 3.64 million VND/month to about 3.86 million VND/month (an increase of 220,000 VND);
- Region IV increased from 3.25 million VND/month to about 3.45 million VND/month (an increase of 200,000 VND).
Accordingly, the Appendix issued with Decree 38/2022/ND-CP clearly states the list of areas in regions 1, 2, and 3 applying the minimum wage, Hanoi area belongs to regions I and II. , specifically:
(i) Region 1 belongs to the districts and districts of Gia Lam, Dong Anh, Soc Son, Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin, Hoai Duc, Thach That, Quoc Oai, Thanh Oai, Me Linh, Chuong My and Son Tay town of the city Hanoi Street;
(ii) Region 2 belongs to the remaining districts of Hanoi city.
