On May 13, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch 2179/BGDĐT-KHTC dated 2024 providing guidance on the implementation of revenues in the education and training sector for the 2024 - 2025 school year.

According to the provisions of Official Dispatch 2179/BGDĐT-KHTC in 2024, the following content is provided:
“Implementing the policy of exempting and reducing tuition fees, supporting learning costs and supporting tuition fees
Implementing the policy of exempting and reducing tuition fees, supporting learning costs and supporting tuition fees in accordance with the provisions of Chapter IV of Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP dated August 27, 2021 of the Government. In which, from the 2024 - 2025 school year, preschool children aged 05 years old in Clause 6, Article 15 of Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP are exempted from tuition fees (from September 1, 2024).”
Therefore, according to the content of Official Dispatch 2179/BGDĐT-KHTC, from the 2024-2025 school year, 5-year-old preschool children specified in Clause 6, Article 15 of Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP will be exempted from tuition fees. This means that from September 1, 2024, all 5-year-old preschool children in this category will not have to pay tuition fees when studying at public preschools.
The implementation of the policy of tuition exemption, reduction and support for learning costs according to Official Dispatch 2179/BGDĐT-KHTC also aims to ensure fairness in education, creating conditions for all children, regardless of family circumstances, to have the opportunity to study and develop comprehensively.
