On May 14, 2025, the Tax Department issued Notification No. 237/TB-CT regarding the plan to temporarily suspend certain tax-related application systems in order to facilitate the relocation of the primary Data Center (DC) to a new site.

Specifically, according to Notification No. 237/TB-CT, the plan for relocating the Data Center (DC) is as follows:

Note: Scope of impact during system suspension:
- Taxpayers (TPs) will be temporarily unable to access and use the following applications and services:
+ E-invoice application
+ Electronic Tax Services including: eTax for enterprises; iCanhan (Electronic Tax Services for individuals); eTax Mobile (mobile application); E-commerce Information Portal; Information Portal for Foreign Suppliers; Electronic Tax Services integrated on The National Public Service Portal, The Ministry of Finance’s Public Service Portal, Provincial Public Service Portals
- External agencies and organizations will temporarily suspend information exchange and transmission with the Tax Department, including: The Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Department of Land Registration and Data (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), Administrative Procedure Control Agency (Government Office), Vietnam Register (Ministry of Construction), departments A08, C06, C08, V01 (Ministry of Public Security), People’s Committees of centrally governed provinces/cities, Department of IT and Digital Transformation, General Department of Customs, General Statistics Office, State Securities Commission, State Treasury, Vietnam Social Security, Department of Private Sector and Collective Economy Development, T-VAN service providers, commercial banks, e-invoice solution providers, transmission and data storage service providers.
Thus, Notification No. 237/TB-CT dated May 14, 2025 from the Tax Department on the temporary suspension of the electronic tax system from May 23 to June 15, 2025 is aimed at facilitating the relocation of the primary Data Center to a new location. This suspension directly affects taxpayers' ability to use the e-invoice system and electronic tax services, and interrupts data exchange with many external entities. During this time, the system will operate on the backup Data Center with limited performance, which may affect the filing and fulfillment of tax obligations. Taxpayers and relevant organizations are advised to stay informed and adjust their work plans accordingly to minimize disruptions.
