HOUSEHOLD BUSINESSES WITH ANNUAL REVENUE UNDER VND 500 MILLION ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY VALUE-ADDED TAX (VAT)
Household businesses and individual business owners with annual revenue exceeding VND 500 million are required to pay value-added tax (VAT) on their entire revenue, rather than being entitled to deduct the VND 500 million tax-exempt threshold as applied under the personal income tax regulations.

The Government has promulgated Decree No. 360/2025/ND-CP dated 31 December 2025, detailing the implementation of a number of provisions of the Law on Excise Tax. This Decree shall take effect from 1 January 2026.
