On November 30, 2023, the Minister of Transport issued Circular 34/2023/TT-BGTVT amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular 17/2019/TT-BGTVT on transportation service price framework passengers on domestic flights.

Specifically, Circular 34/2023/TT-BGTVT amending and supplementing the basic economy class passenger transportation service price is the service price passengers must pay for the journey in the economy cabin of the aircraft. for a service class that meets the basic requirements of the majority of passengers on the flight from ground services to air services.
In particular, changes in the price bracket for passenger transportation services on domestic routes from March 1, 2024 are as follows:
(1) Flight distance less than 500km
- Socio-economic development flight route group: Maximum level is 1,600,000 VND/one-way ticket (Remains the same as current);
- Other flight routes under 500 km: Maximum price is 1,700,000 VND/one-way ticket (Remains the same as current).
(2) Flight distance from 500km to less than 850km: Maximum level is 2,200,000 VND/one-way ticket increased to 2,250,000 VND/one-way ticket;
(3) Flight distance from 850 km to less than 1,000 km: Maximum price is 2,790,000 VND/one-way ticket increased to 2,890,000 VND/one-way ticket;
(4) Flight distance from 1,000 km to less than 1,280 km: Maximum level is 3,200,000 VND/one-way ticket increased to 3,400,000 VND/one-way ticket;
(5) Flight distance from 1,280 km or more: Maximum price is 3,750,000 VND/one-way ticket increased to 4,000,000 VND/one-way ticket

Note: The maximum price for passenger transportation services above includes all costs the passenger must pay for 01 airline ticket, except for the following fees:
- V.a.t tax;
- Revenues collected on behalf of businesses providing passenger terminal services and security services, including:
+ Passenger service prices;
+ Price to ensure passenger security;
+ Luggage;
- Service fees for additional items.
In addition, service prices for additional services are decided by airlines on the basis of balancing the airline's ability to provide services and market demand.
