According to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, officials, civil servants, employees of administrative agencies, public institutions, political organizations, and socio-political organizations will have a National Day holiday from Saturday, August 31st, 2024, to Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024.

Pursuant to Article 104 of the 2019 Labor Code, regulations on bonuses are as follows:
(1) A bonus is an amount of money, property, or other forms of reward granted by a company to an employee based on production results, business performance, and the employee's level of work completion.
(2) The bonus regulations shall be decided by the company and publicly posted at the workplace after consulting with the labor union, if any.
Therefore, companies are not obligated to grant bonuses to employees on the National Day holiday of September 2nd, 2024. The decision to provide bonuses is at the company's discretion and is determined by the company's bonus regulations.
Note: According to Article 98 of the 2019 Labor Code, if an employee works on the National Day holiday, they shall be paid at least 300% of their daily wage, excluding the wage for holidays, Tet holidays, and paid rest days.
In cases where an employee works overtime at night, in addition to the above-mentioned wage, the employee shall be paid an additional 20% of the wage, calculated based on the hourly wage or the wage for daytime work on a normal working day, a weekly rest day, or a National Day holiday.
