Accordingly, conditions for passenger transport business by car include:
- Cars for passenger transport business must be legally owned or used according to a written vehicle rental contract between the car passenger transport business unit and the organization, individual or business cooperation contract according to the provisions of law.
In case the registered vehicle is owned by a cooperative member, there must be a service contract between the member and the cooperative, which stipulates that the cooperative has the rights, responsibilities and obligations to manage, use and regulate the vehicle. operate a car owned by a member of the cooperative.
- Cars for transport business must be equipped with trip monitoring equipment and a device to record images of the driver.
- Cars used for passenger transport on fixed routes must have a capacity of 08 seats or more (excluding the driver's seat) and have an expiry date as follows: no more than 15 years for operating vehicles. on routes with distances over 300 kilometers, not more than 20 years for vehicles operating on routes with distances of 300 kilometers or less.
- Cars used to transport passengers by bus must have a capacity of 08 seats or more (not including the driver's seat) and have a service life of no more than 20 years.
- Cars used to transport passengers by taxi must have a capacity of less than 08 seats (not including the driver's seat) and have a service life of no more than 12 years. Do not use passenger cars designed or renovated with less than 08 seats from cars larger than 08 seats (not including the driver's seat) to do passenger transport business by taxi.
- Cars used for passenger transport business under contract with a capacity of more than 08 seats (excluding the driver's seat) have an expiry date as follows: no more than 15 years for vehicles operating on short-distance journeys. distance over 300 kilometers, not more than 20 years for vehicles operating on journeys with a distance of 300 kilometers or less.
Particularly for passenger transport business cars under contract with a capacity of less than 08 seats (not including the driver's seat) using electronic contracts with a shelf life of no more than 12 years.
Decree 158/2024/ND-CP takes effect from January 1, 2025.
